About Kate McDonald

Kate McDonald received her B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science from Colorado State University.  For more than 30 years she has trained in New York City, Southern California and currently Colorado, helping others successfully set and reach their personal fitness goals.   

In addition to in-home personal training, Kate teaches her fHiiT classes online, in local parks and for several companies, including Liberty Media, a Fortune 500 company. Each class is designed to be challenging and fun; combining strength, endurance and flexibility exercises that can be modified for every fitness level.   

As a compliment to her fitness classes, Kate is a Master Trainer with The Fascianation Method of Self Myofascial Release.  This whole body method stimulates the fascia to help balance out the body left to right, top to bottom and inside out.

Kate was a marathon coach with the LLS’s Team-in-Training for 4 years, has completed 7 marathons, the Canadian Ironman triathlon and loves to push herself in distance races. 

Kate has a genuine passion for people and loves motivating others to be as healthy, strong and fit as they can be.

Functional High Intensity Interval Training classes are designed to build strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination by combining strength  exercises, plyometrics, agility drills, flexibility movements and more for a fun, challenging overall body workout! *MODIFIED FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS.

The FASCIANATION METHOD is a form of Self Myofascial Release that teaches people how to stimulate and hydrate dry, unhealthy fascia from the bottom of the feet to the base of the skull, which increases circulation, mobility, lymphatic drainage, digestion and elimination, decreases pain, inflammation, and so much more.  This whole body approach helps neutralize imbalances in the body front to back, top to bottom, left to right and inside out.  A special roller called the FASCIANATOR is designed with a specific density to reach the deepest layers of fascia that cannot be reached with a foam roller, and a specific diameter to reach important areas of the body (lymphatic vessels of the groin, axillary area, neck, base of the skull) that large foam rollers cannot reach.

The Fascianation Method has changed my approach to fitness. I have focused on putting on weight for athletics, and that has contributed to injuries over the years. I have struggled with intense lower back pain, as well as countless muscle strains and injuries from sports or training. Kate introduced me to The Fascianation Method and it has single handedly changed the game for me. In a lacrosse game, I hurt my hip and hip flexor and could not squat down for a couple weeks. I did the Fascianation Method twice and I was able to squat my body weight on the rack the next day. I am now consistently rolling and the improvements to my day to day life are nothing short of a miracle when it comes to recovery.
